VUZ Raises $12M in Pre-Series C Round Led by IFC to Expand Immersive Media Reach

  • VUZ secures $12 million in Pre-Series C funding led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), with participation from regional and existing investors.
  • The company will strengthen its presence in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and expand across Africa, Asia, and the United States.
  • VUZ offers immersive 360° video content, aiming to reach 5 billion views by 2026, with robust tools for creators and interactive commerce.

VUZ, the immersive video platform redefining how people experience content, has raised $12 million in a Pre-Series C round led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The new capital will fuel the company’s growth across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and further into emerging markets such as Africa and Asia, while also scaling in the U.S.

The round included participation from leading investors such as AlJazira Capital and CrossWork VC via Success Fund, along with returning backers and Saudi family offices.

A New Kind of Content Experience

Unlike traditional platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, or Instagram, VUZ offers immersive 360° video content that puts viewers “inside the experience”  whether it’s the GRAMMY Awards, La Liga football matches, or fashion shows in Dubai.

VUZ content is available across mobile apps, the web, smart TVs, and VR headsets such as Apple Vision Pro and Oculus.

Strong Creator Ecosystem & Strategic Partnerships

VUZ had previously raised $20 million in a Series B round in 2022, and secured exclusive immersive streaming rights with La Liga and the Professional Fighters League (PFL). The platform now works with over 100 creators, reaching a combined audience of more than 100 million followers.

Through its in-house VUZ Studio, the company helps creators produce immersive content faster. It also enables live interactive commerce, allowing creators to sell products directly during live broadcasts.

Roadmap to 5 Billion Views by 2026

VUZ currently operates from offices in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Jordan, and the U.S. It has already launched services in Egypt, Kenya, and Nigeria, and plans to enter South Africa later this year. The company is also building teams in India and Indonesia to accelerate content expansion.

Khaled Zaatarah, Founder & CEO of VUZ, commented:
“IFC saw the potential in what we’re building — especially as a content-first, creator-powered platform expanding across emerging markets. Their support validates our progress and unlocks major growth opportunities ahead.”
