In a moment where reality blended seamlessly with imagination, Elon Musk showcased one of his advanced robots in front of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and U.S. President Donald Trump during SAUDI-U.S. INVESTMENT FORUM 2025 in Riyadh
The robot didn’t just move—it performed a dance that captivated the audience, as if signaling the dawn of a new technological era where robots are no longer confined to fiction but are becoming part of our daily lives.
On the sidelines of the forum, H.E. Eng. Abdullah Amer Alswaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, held a side meeting with the world-renowned tech entrepreneur Elon Musk.
Their conversation delved into futuristic themes, ranging from flying robots and “robo-taxis” to artificial intelligence and satellite networks.
During the meeting, Alswaha stated:
“We are witnessing an extraordinary moment with President Trump and our friend Elon Musk here in the Kingdom. These moments reflect our vision for tomorrow’s Saudi Arabia—a nation that doesn’t just keep pace with the future, but actively shapes it.”
Underscoring this vision, Saudi Arabia announced its approval for Starlink services, opening the door for satellite internet coverage in remote areas.
This move aims to overcome logistical infrastructure challenges at a time when digital transformation efforts are accelerating rapidly.
Commenting on this, Elon Musk said:
“The xAI project isn’t just about understanding technology—it’s about understanding the world around us. We’re trying to figure out where we’re headed and what questions we haven’t even thought to ask yet.”
Between the Kingdom’s bold ambitions and Musk’s futuristic vision, the boundary between reality and science fiction is beginning to fade.
It was a meeting that brought together technology and ambition, space and thought—affirming once again that Saudi Arabia is not waiting for the future… it is building it.
