Leveraging Telegram’s infrastructure, including built-in crypto wallets, to simplify onboarding and make Web3 gaming accessible to the mainstream audience.
Saudi-based VC firm Impact46 has announced its participation in a $5 million seed round for Spekter Games Inc., alongside leading global investors including a16z Speedrun, London Venture Partners, BRV Capital, Chamaeleon, Accelerator Ventures, Versus Ventures, and Alumni Ventures.
Spekter Games, headquartered in the US, specializes in building next-gen social games powered by Web3 technology, with a strong focus on Telegram-based gameplay.
The investment coincides with the official launch of the company’s first title, Spekter Agency—a rogue-lite action arcade game introduced via Telegram. The game is designed to offer addictive gameplay, with seamlessly integrated blockchain rewards that run in the background—keeping complexity out of the user experience.
“Our goal is to build games people love to play—not just for the rewards,” said Taehoon Kim (TK), founder and CEO of Spekter Games. “Web3 incentives can increase retention and reach, but they should never come at the cost of fun.”
Built on Telegram’s Mini Apps infrastructure, Spekter Agency offers frictionless onboarding and instant gameplay. With Telegram’s built-in crypto wallets, blockchain transactions are simplified—removing common Web3 entry barriers and opening the door to a broader audience.
TK, who previously founded nWay (which surpassed 100M downloads before being acquired by Animoca Brands), brings over 20 years of experience in both Web2 and Web3 gaming, and has led initiatives in collaboration with Yuga Labs and Dapper Labs.
Notably, Impact46 recently launched a SAR 150M gaming fund, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the growth of gaming and emerging technologies in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
