- Nowlun Secures an Additional $600K from Ingressive Capital, Closing Its Seed Round at $2.3 Million
- New Funding to Advance AI-Powered Logistics Solutions in Saudi Arabia and the Wider Middle East
Nowlun, the digital platform simplifying global freight across the Middle East and North Africa, has announced the closure of its seed round at a total of $2.3 million, following an additional $600K investment led by Ingressive Capital, a leading African venture capital firm.
Round Details
This new investment builds on Nowlun’s previously announced seed round, which was led by Nama Ventures and A15, with participation from Sanabil 500 Global and several angel investors.
The initial funding enabled Nowlun to expand into the Saudi market and launch its Bulk product — a dynamic pricing engine offering instant access to sea freight options.
With the latest capital injection, Nowlun plans to accelerate its use of artificial intelligence to transform the logistics experience.
The company aims to empower its internal team to handle a higher volume of shipments more efficiently, supported by AI-driven insights that span the entire logistics value chain.
At the same time, Nowlun is leveraging its sector expertise and AI capabilities to develop a smart logistics assistant for ocean freight shippers in the Middle East and Africa.
This digital assistant will provide instant access to analytics and recommendations that simplify decision-making, reduce costs, and enhance the overall efficiency of global trade in the region.
Executive Statements
Moataz Khamis, CEO of Nowlun, commented:
“This funding is more than just capital — it’s a strategic step towards embedding AI at the heart of logistics. We’re building your smart logistics assistant — a tool that puts decades of operational expertise in the palm of your hand, helping you make faster, smarter shipping decisions every day.”
The participation of Ingressive Capital reflects the growing role of African VCs in backing Egypt’s startup ecosystem and shaping the future of global logistics.
Strategically located between Asia and Europe, Africa has long served as a critical trade and logistics hub, and investors like Ingressive are actively supporting innovations that connect and empower the region.
Maya Horgan Famodu, Founding Partner at Ingressive Capital, stated:
“We believe the future of logistics in the Middle East and Africa will be shaped by founders who combine deep operational know-how with cutting-edge AI”.
Nowlun is not just modernizing freight — they are reimagining trade across continents with speed, transparency, and precision.
We are proud to support Moataz and his team in building a region-defining logistics platform.”
Nowlun is doubling down on its presence in Egypt and Saudi Arabia — two strategic markets at the heart of global trade routes.
This investment extension is not merely financial; it represents a clear acceleration of the company’s mission to modernize logistics infrastructure across the region.
As Nowlun expands its operational footprint, AI will serve as the driving force behind its growth — introducing new levels of speed, transparency, and intelligence into an industry still burdened by manual processes and fragmented systems.
In a sector characterized by complexity and time sensitivity, AI is no longer optional — it is the foundation of the next logistics revolution.
