ShipBee Raises QAR 855,000 in Pre-Seed Funding Round Led by GrowthX

The funding round saw participation from a group of angel investors and investment institutions, with proceeds aimed at fueling ShipBee’s continued growth.

This investment will support the acceleration of ShipBee’s technological and operational expansion, both locally and across the region.

ShipBee, a fully integrated digital logistics platform powered by artificial intelligence, has successfully closed its pre-seed funding round, raising QAR 855,000 from angel investors and investment institutions.

The round valued the company at QAR 3.57 million, with funds set to drive the company’s technical and operational growth.

The round was led by GrowthX, acting as the lead investor, alongside several individual investors. In addition, ShipBee’s co-founders contributed over QAR 150,000 in self-financed capital.

The company is spearheaded by Tamer Raafat and Amer Azani, with Dr. Alain Villegas—a member of the executive committee of Qatar Science & Technology Park—joining the board of directors as an independent member.

A Comprehensive, AI-Powered Logistics Platform

Founded in March 2024, ShipBee offers an end-to-end logistics platform covering both local and international delivery services.

The company’s ecosystem includes a digital marketplace, mobile apps for customers and drivers, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions for businesses.

ShipBee has already established key strategic partnerships with major players such as Snoonu, Qatar Post, DHL, and NEXX (a China-based leader in AI logistics solutions), as well as several local companies in the retail and e-commerce sectors.

Strategic Growth Backed by Innovation

Commenting on the funding, Tamer Raafat, Co-founder and CEO of ShipBee, stated:

“This funding will be instrumental in enhancing our digital products, executing our expansion strategy, achieving product-market fit, and securing key government contracts.

It will also bolster our technical infrastructure with advanced AI-driven solutions.”

He added:

“We aim to build a smart, fully integrated logistics ecosystem in Qatar and the region, with technology as a core driver of efficiency and innovation.”

Hamad Mubarak Al-Hajri, CEO of GrowthX and founder of Snoonu, expressed his support, saying:

“We are proud to back ShipBee in its entrepreneurial journey. Their bold vision aligns perfectly with Qatar’s National Vision 2030 for digital transformation”.

Through this foundational investment, we hope to empower ShipBee to become one of the region’s leading digital logistics platforms.”

Recognition and Early Achievements

ShipBee’s innovative approach has garnered early recognition, including winning the first Innovation Hackathon organized by Qatar Development Bank.

The company is currently incubated by Qatar Business Incubation Center and was also selected for the Digital Incubation Center under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology during the 8th cycle of the “Idea Camp” program.
