Wuilt, the Egypt-based e-commerce solutions provider, has announced a $2 million funding round to support its regional expansion plans and the development of services tailored for individuals and businesses.
The round saw participation from several investors, including Flat6Labs, MTF VC, Hub71, JIMCO—the investment arm of Abdul Latif Jameel—Purity Tech, as well as a group of angel investors.
In April 2025, Wuilt shifted its business model by offering its core service completely free in Egypt, moving away from its traditional subscription-based approach. This change helped onboard over 20,000 merchants in a short period, enabling them to create online stores, manage their products, and integrate with local shipping and payment services without any subscription fees.
Under its new model, Wuilt provides core e-commerce services at no cost, while generating revenue from premium offerings such as Wuilt Shipments, Wuilt Pay, and Wuilt Wallet.
The company plans to launch its free service in the UAE during the fourth quarter of 2025, with further expansion into the Gulf region and Turkey expected in the first quarter of 2026. Wuilt is also working on a set of AI-powered features aimed at helping merchants streamline daily operations and improve operational efficiency.
