  • Impact46 Announces Full Acquisition of Kammelna in a $53 Million Deal to Support the Regional Gaming Industry
  • The transaction aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy, which prioritizes the growth of the gaming and esports sector

Impact46 has announced the full acquisition of Saudi-based gaming studio Kammelna in a deal valued at over SAR 200 million ($53 million), underscoring the growing focus on the Kingdom’s gaming sector in line with Vision 2030.

The transaction comes at a time when Saudi Arabia’s gaming industry is experiencing rapid growth, fueled by the Kingdom’s economic diversification strategy that places creative and entertainment industries at its core.

Strengthening the Gaming Ecosystem

This acquisition is expected to reinforce Impact46’s position as a leading venture capital firm backing startups and high-potential tech ventures, particularly in the fast-growing digital gaming segment that continues to attract strong interest from Saudi youth.

Founded in Dammam, Kammelna quickly established itself as one of the most successful local studios specializing in digital card games, most notably the popular Baloot.

The studio’s apps have been downloaded over six million times, boasting more than one million monthly active users—a testament to the high level of engagement with its products.

With a team of around 40 employees spanning engineering, product development, and creative arts, Kammelna is the largest independent employer in the Kingdom’s gaming sector.

Beyond the technical front, the studio has had a significant cultural and social impact.

Its digital tournaments have drawn more than 150,000 participants, cementing its role in celebrating and preserving a cornerstone of Saudi cultural identity.
