PIF to Launch Advanced AI Model to Support Arabic Language and Saudi Culture

  • PIF Announces Launch of Advanced AI Model to Support Arabic Language and Saudi Culture
  • The Public Investment Fund will rely on its AI company, HUMAIN, to roll out the model this August.
  • The new model, ALLaM 34B, has been trained and developed to operate efficiently while ensuring user privacy.

The Public Investment Fund (PIF) is set to introduce an advanced artificial intelligence model that focuses on the Arabic language and Saudi cultural heritage before the end of August.

The launch will be carried out through its newly established national AI company, HUMAIN.

According to Tareq Amin, CEO of HUMAIN, the new model — named ALLaM 34B — has been trained and developed to deliver high-performance Arabic language processing while preserving user privacy and reflecting the cultural identity of the Kingdom.

“We have developed a fully integrated suite of HUMAIN Chat applications based on this model, making it ready for commercial deployment from day one,” Amin stated. “ALLaM 34B is not an updated version of the previous ALLaM model; it was built and trained entirely from scratch and comes embedded in a comprehensive package of interactive applications.”

He further explained:

“The company’s scope of work includes designing original AI platforms that serve the needs of government entities, corporations, research centers, and AI labs worldwide.”

About HUMAIN

HUMAIN, a PIF-owned company, was founded in May with the goal of leading and developing advanced technology sectors in Saudi Arabia, including next-generation data centers, state-of-the-art AI infrastructure, and large-scale Arabic language models. The company is also responsible for developing and marketing the sovereign language model ALLaM, created by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).

In addition, HUMAIN has launched HUMAIN OS, an AI operating system that provides a unified conversational interface in both Arabic and English, eliminating the need for siloed enterprise applications.

This month, HUMAIN’s technology partner Groq made OpenAI’s gpt-oss open-weight models available in the Kingdom from day one via GroqCloud servers in Dammam — a move that paves the way for HUMAIN Chat to operate on this advanced cloud infrastructure
