Egypt-based startup Suplyd, which specializes in providing digital logistics solutions for the restaurant sector, has announced the closure of a $2 million Pre-Series A funding round. The funding aims to support the expansion of its digital platform and enhance the technological infrastructure for the foodservice and hospitality industry in Egypt.
The round was led by 4DX Ventures, Camel Ventures, and Plus VC, with participation from Seedstars and existing investors.
Suplyd plans to use the new funding to scale its operations within Egypt and develop new tools and technologies that boost restaurant efficiency and reduce operational costs. This aligns with the company’s broader strategy to build an integrated digital system supporting supply chains and backend operations in this vital sector.
In December 2022, Suplyd secured a $1.6 million Pre-Seed round, which enabled the startup to grow and expand its services to meet a wide range of restaurant operational needs—from sourcing ingredients and supplies to procuring tools and equipment—while focusing on reducing waste and optimizing resource management.
Founded in 2022, Suplyd was launched to address common challenges restaurants face with traditional supply chains, including inconsistent deliveries, shipment delays, and a lack of transparency. Its digital platform offers a comprehensive solution that allows restaurants to manage daily purchasing through a centralized dashboard—covering inventory tracking, order management, data analysis, and delivery monitoring with precision and efficiency.
