PoliCloud, a company specializing in the development of sovereign, high-performance cloud infrastructure (HPC), has closed its seed funding round with a total of €7.5 million.
The round was led by Global Ventures, a venture capital firm operating in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The round saw participation from several prominent entities, including the French National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology (Inria), the French venture fund OneRagtime, the investment office MI8 Limited, and a group of individual investors.
With this funding, PoliCloud aims to expand its operations globally, with a particular focus on serving government institutions across Europe.
The company also plans to strengthen its operational team and accelerate growth in its target markets.
It is worth noting that PoliCloud was launched in February 2025 during the World AI Festival held in Cannes, France.
At the event, the company introduced a distributed cloud infrastructure model characterized by high levels of security, environmental efficiency, and low operational costs — all tailored to meet the digital sovereignty needs of public and private sector organizations.
PoliCloud’s cloud architecture is built in collaboration with the Hivenet distributed cloud computing platform, which enhances its technical capabilities and competitiveness in the sovereign cloud services market.
