CE-Ventures, the corporate venture capital platform of Crescent Enterprises, has announced its participation in two funding rounds totaling $657 million for fintech infrastructure companies Plaid and Mesh.

This move aligns with CE-Ventures’ strategy to support the global shift toward open, programmable, and digital asset-backed financial systems. The platform aims to fund projects that lay the foundation for modern financial technology and foster innovation in digital currencies and financial infrastructure.

Plaid, known for its technology that connects users to their bank accounts, raised $575 million in a funding round led by Franklin Templeton, with participation from CE-Ventures alongside prominent investors such as Fidelity, BlackRock, NEA, and Ribbit Capital. The company offers services that simplify lending, payments, and budgeting by aggregating financial data from multiple sources.

Meanwhile, Mesh focuses on developing blockchain-based infrastructure that enables the transfer of digital assets—including stablecoins—between digital wallets, trading platforms, and applications. The company secured $82 million in a Series B funding round led by Paradigm, with participation from CE-Ventures, Consensys, QuantumLight Capital, Yolo Investments, and others.
