Kicking off the main stage discussions, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, addressed the theme:
“Racing Beyond Innovation: Artificial Intelligence, Geopolitics, and the Reset of the Global Economy,” emphasizing that innovation and economic diversification remain at the heart of the UAE’s national strategy.
He stated:

Turning to the global impact of deep technologies, Ekaterina Zaharieva, Commissioner for Startups, Research, and Innovation at the European Commission, joined Dr. Najwa Aaraj, CEO of the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) — the applied research arm of the Advanced Technology Research Council in the UAE — to explore how deep-tech ecosystems can transform nations.
“The European Union and the UAE share a vision of driving innovation for the benefit of our citizens. We both recognize the importance of startups and scaleups to our economies. This journey begins right here at GITEX 2025” Zaharieva said.
The “Super Intelligence Cycle” session brought together Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications; Irfan Soloman, Canada’s Minister of AI and Digital Innovation; and Amandeep Gill, the UN Envoy on Digital Technologies, to examine how AI is becoming the defining economic infrastructure of this century.
Irfan Soloman said:

He add:
“We must preserve our values as we build together. It’s inspiring to meet people and companies, and to see our deep partnership with the UAE grow as we share this message: transforming AI from a trusted technology into one designed for everyone.”
As the EU rolls out its $1.1 billion Apply AI strategy to accelerate AI adoption across key sectors — and the UAE oversees $3.5 billion in AI investments under Abu Dhabi’s Digital Government Strategy 2025–2027 — government leaders from both regions discussed the dynamics of AI strategic autonomy.
The panel included Ksenija Klampfer, Minister of Digital Transformation of Slovenia; Dr. Rafal Zienski, Deputy Minister for Digital Affairs of Poland; Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai; and Stefan Waeke, Director of EISMEA at the European Innovation Council (Belgium), addressing how AI factories have become central to national and industrial strategies.
Andrew Feldman, CEO of Cerebras — the unicorn behind the world’s largest AI supercomputer, built in partnership with G42 — discussed achieving record-breaking AI inference speeds that redefine high-performance computing.
Feldman explained:
“We built the largest chip in computing history, the size of a dinner plate. By scaling up the chip size, we’ve been able to retain more information and reduce data movement — meaning less energy consumption and faster results” .
