Darktrace, a global leader in AI-driven cybersecurity, has announced the establishment of a legal entity and new office in Riyadh, marking a major milestone in its Middle East and North Africa (MENA) expansion.
Having maintained a strong presence in the region since opening its Dubai office in 2017, the new Riyadh office, located in the Kingdom Centre, will allow Darktrace to deliver enhanced local expertise, technical support, and customer engagement to its growing base of over 280 clients.
Sustained Regional Growth
Over the past five years, Darktrace has achieved average annual growth of more than 40% across MENA, supported by strategic local partnerships with Alnafitha IT and Innovative Solutions. The company currently employs around 30 staff across the region, with plans to increase that number following the launch of the Saudi office.
Leadership Statement
Nicole Eagan, Co-founder and strategic advisor at Darktrace, commented:
“With Saudi Arabia investing more than $14 billion in AI and emerging technologies and its cybersecurity market growing up to 13% annually, our presence in Riyadh ensures we can support organizations in one of the world’s most dynamic and fast-evolving markets. It’s another important step in Darktrace’s growth strategy as we continue to invest in markets where we see strong demand for AI-driven cybersecurity.”
Strengthening UK-Saudi Collaboration
As part of its commitment to fostering long-term cooperation, Darktrace has joined the Saudi-British Joint Business Council (SBJBC), an independent private-sector organization that promotes trade, investment, and strategic collaboration between Saudi Arabia and the UK.
With more than 200 member companies across major industries, the Council connects businesses with senior government and private sector networks through events and partnership initiatives.
By joining the Council, Darktrace aims to deepen its engagement with Saudi and UK businesses, promote bilateral innovation, and support secure digital transformation across the region.
Supporting Vision 2030 and National Cyber Goals
Aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, Darktrace’s investment in Riyadh aims to drive innovation, create jobs, and strengthen cyber resilience as the Kingdom undergoes rapid digital transformation and prepares for global events such as the AFC Asian Cup, Asian Winter Games, and World Expo.
Using its Self-Learning AI technology, Darktrace helps organizations defend against sophisticated cyber threats across email, cloud, and digital ecosystems, focusing on high-demand industries like oil, gas, and petrochemicals, where it already works with clients such as National Petrochemical Industrial Co. (NATPET).
Global Growth Momentum
Under Thoma Bravo’s ownership, Darktrace continues to expand globally, having recently opened a deployment center and corporate office in Dallas. The company has been recognized as a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Network Detection and Response, and holds top positions in IDC and KuppingerCole reports, alongside a 4.8-star Gartner Peer Insights rating.
The Riyadh office, licensed by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment (MISA) and scheduled to open in January 2026, will reinforce regional operations, while Darktrace will also sponsor the British Embassy and Consulate’s King’s Birthday celebrations in November 2025 and participate in Black Hat MEA 2025.
