Dubai, June 9, 2025 – A study conducted by the Dubai Gaming Program 2033, supervised by the Dubai Future Foundation, indicated that Dubai currently hosts more than 350 companies operating across various areas of the gaming sector, whose global market value is estimated at around $200 billion.
These include 260 companies specializing in game development, representing 74% of all active gaming companies in Dubai. 67% of these companies are headquartered in Dubai, while global tech giants make up 12% of the total.
Since the launch of the Dubai Gaming Program in November 2023, over 60 new gaming companies have been established in Dubai—a growth of 16.6%, reflecting the emirate’s rising global prominence in this promising economic sector.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, launched the Dubai Gaming Program to make Dubai one of the world’s top 10 gaming hubs within the next 10 years. The initiative also aims to create up to 30,000 new jobs in the sector and increase its contribution to Dubai’s digital economy and GDP by around $1 billion by 2033.
Khalfan Juma Belhoul: The gaming sector in Dubai has become one of the most promising economic fields and holds unprecedented opportunities.
H.E. Khalfan Juma Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, confirmed that the achievements made in Dubai’s gaming sector recently reflect the success of the emirate’s future-focused economic vision, which is based on economic diversification and leveraging opportunities in various current and future development areas.
He added: “The gaming sector in Dubai has become one of the most promising economic fields and holds unprecedented opportunities, thanks to the enabling ecosystem for entrepreneurs and innovators in advanced technology sectors—especially gaming, which has become a key driver in boosting competitiveness and achieving the goals of Dubai’s Economic Agenda (D33).”

The Dubai Gaming Program 2033 focuses on supporting talents, leveraging technological progress, developing digital content, and providing training and job opportunities in partnership with global companies, universities, and academic institutions. It supports entrepreneurs and innovative thinkers, and launches specialized educational and training programs across various fields and applications within the gaming industry.
The program includes a range of initiatives, events, and local and global exhibitions. It also offers opportunities for partnerships and collaboration among individuals, companies, and regulatory bodies in Dubai, the region, and worldwide.
