Executive Comments
Nour Al Taher, Co-founder and CEO of Intella, said:
“We are bridging the gap between global AI advancements and the Arabic-speaking world. This investment will accelerate our efforts to help regional enterprises transform customer conversations into highly valuable strategic assets.”
Omar Mansour, Co-founder and CTO of Intella, added:
“This round is a catalyst for launching our upcoming product suite. Our models have already set the standard for Arabic accuracy, and we are now focused on building intelligent Arabic conversational models capable of multi-role interactions and contextual understanding—redefining how enterprises engage with their customers.”
Currently, Intella supports a growing number of institutions across the MENA region in sectors such as financial services, telecommunications, and government.
With this round, Intella’s total funding has reached $16.9 million.
Robin Voughey, Head of Middle East Investments at Prosus, commented:
“The MENA region presents an enormous opportunity, with more than 7,500 enterprises operating in the region. Arabic is the world’s fifth most spoken language, yet Arabic AI models have historically underperformed due to the complexity of the language, lack of a unified standard, and limited access to high-quality dialectal data. Intella is changing this reality.”
He added:
“We see massive global opportunities in AI, and Intella is localizing these technologies for the Arabic-speaking world, We are excited to support the company in its mission to build dialect-aware AI technologies.”
Ziila Launch
As part of its innovation roadmap, Intella announced the launch of “Ziila”, a new smart assistant developed in collaboration with Jumia, the leading e-commerce platform in the Middle East and Africa. Ziila enables voice ordering in the Egyptian dialect, marking a significant milestone in handling complex dialects in demanding real-world environments.
The newly secured funding will further strengthen Intella’s market leadership and technological edge. Capital will be strategically deployed to:
-
Expand Ziila as part of an integrated AI suite alongside Intella’s analytics platform.
-
Drive enterprise adoption of AI-powered conversational analytics and voice experiences.
-
Scale operations across MENA by expanding teams in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
-
Invest in R&D for Arabic AI, pushing the boundaries of dialect comprehension and raising accuracy levels beyond global competitors.
